My mainframe is an Acer Aspire 7720-6712.

It comes with an integrated webcam.

I want to record/make videos of myself.

Does anyone know a fantastic program that I can use instead of me going out and buying and external web cam??

Also, it would be fantastic if the program was free…but than again nothing is free these days..hehe

My second question is does anyone know where I can find and download that mac program called Photo booth.

I am in need of a web cam. My girlfriend is going off to college after summer and I talked to her about getting one. Shes going to have a mainframe so its got to be something excellent for that. The main thing is that I want excellent video and audio like anyone else. I am willing to spend on them. I got to buy 2 so yeah lol.

I got SBC Yahoo for internet by the way. Its quick enough to watch 20 min youtube episodes without waiting. Is this excellent enough for seamless video?

I run windows Vista on an HP dv9000 mainframe. I use an analogue TV coax adapter in the side bay to watch TV in Mediacenter. Problem is that after I use my computer to watch TV, Yahoo Messanger can no longer find my Web cam – i.e. it says that the web cam is not connected… I know this to be incorrect as the web cam is built INTO the computer. I have figured out that these two components are not playing nice together – how do I go about figuring out why they are conflicting with one another and more importantly, how do I fix it? The problem didn’t exist when I ran XP & both compenents work fine. As long as I don’t use my computer to watch TV, my web cam works – but, as soon as I do watch TV; my web cam will not work until the adapter is removed and windows is restarted.

My sister bought a web cam on eBay about a year ago and we lost the CD, now I’m trying to install it on my PC but I can’t find the drivers online.

Note: Before anyone questions, the web cam is completely empty. There is no model number or manufacturer name on it. All I could find out is that its made in china.

Um.. Sorry, that does not help. I need to find drivers for my web cam in order to use it. That software is a video editing software. I can’t use it if my web cam isn’t working….

The terrible news is, my sister finally found the Cd…. but its broken…. So i’m out of luck if I can’t find drivers for it online.

Tried to use Web Cam in Yahoo IM but it say’s "Navigation to Webpage was cancelled" "What you can try" "Refresh Page" and at the bottom, "camera not connected" The blocks that says "Broadcast" & "Pause" are greyed out and cannot be accessed. This is my Daughter’s computer, she’s age 10 (Don’t know if age restriction has anything to do with it). But this system works on my other Desktop and Mainframe with no problem. I tried installing Hotmail to try their IM and couldn’t find their web cam access. You can tell I’m not that savvy. Please Help! [The DOC]
